The Journey Continues

This last month has been a blur. I’ve truly enjoyed getting back to work. It’s always good when your “job” is something that you love! Now that my energy is coming back I have jumped back into life, spending much needed time with family while continuing to support and partner with wonderful organizations who work hard to make a difference in the lives of women and children.

Last night I was honored at a wonderful event for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). I watched young children talk about their diagnosis and having to deal with diabetes every second of every day. Regardless of what our health issue may be, it is critical to find the strength within to deal with these life altering issues.

One young man said that he makes a point to talk to other young children. He reminds them that they are now weaker than other kids. Rather they do everything that a normal child does and they do it with diabetes!

What amazing lessons we can learn from our children.

TIP:  If you or a family member are going through a battle of your own be it diabetes, cancer, heart disease or any other issue, remember that you DO have the strength. The mind and body are incredible things – Believe in yourself and your health and know that you are an absolute miracle.
